Getting started: Learning the marketing basics for your small business

In this workshop we’ll be looking at what marketing is and why it is important for the success of your small business.

We’ll start by understanding the key components of a successful marketing strategy, how to select the most appropriate tactics from your marketing toolkit to enchant and engage your customer audience, and create a plan you can fit around your day to day responsibilities as a business owner.

The workshop will round off with an opportunity to ask questions and finish up with a summary of the morning.

Note: This session will also link up with the afternoon’s Social Media workshop with Ann Hawkins, giving all business owners who are new to marketing and social media, a chance to learn more about this exciting marketing tactic and how it should be integrated into your marketing plan.
