About
Ann Hawkins founded The Inspired Group in 2005, starting with monthly “Inspirational Speakers” events in Cambridgeshire UK
She quickly realised that many business owners were looking for support and, more importantly, accountability as they worked to grow their businesses.
From this came The Inspired MasterMind Groups; peer groups of business owners, facilitated by Ann, who share their expertise, skills and knowledge and help each other in their business development.
The group now has almost 500 regular participants in many countries and several programmes for both business and personal development.
The unique nature of the group is due to Ann’s innovative use of social media and on-line collaboration, resulting in a true community of people who willingly help and support each other.
Staying true to its original philosophy, the group is open to all. There are no membership fees and participants can take advantage of many free benefits, paying only for the services they actively opt in to.
Ann qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management (now incorporated into the CIPD) while working for The British Printing Corporation in the 1980′s. Her qualifications in Psychology, Economics, Statistics and Industrial Relations were later augmented by studies of Transactional Analysis and NLP.
The late 70′ s and early 80′s saw the advent of the first Equal Opportunities Legislation (incorporating Sex Discrimination, Race Relations and Equal Pay) and Ann’s claim to fame is bringing this to an industry where both management and trades unions were fiercely opposed to it.
Since starting her first business in 1986, Ann has produced several business development and personal development programmes and mentored many business owners. She is now a popular speaker at many events and in 2010 produced The A-Z of Business Success in 26 weeks of radio broadcasts. This series is now available free of charge (see sign up box in side panel).
An avid user of Twitter and other social media, Ann can usually be found poking fun at people who take themselves too seriously or indulge in woolly thinking. Her personal blog is Inspired!
“Ann came to speak at our NRG lunch in London and although I was ready to be impressed I was in fact blown away in the best possible fashion. The way Ann articulated the value of mastermind groups was robust and business like whilst being thought proving and creative.
Ann involved the whole audience, kept people’s attention and most importantly the essence she delivered was exactly what I wanted members to take away. At a personal level Ann is deliciously straight talking, helpful and inspirational; she is an essential ingredient for your network!”
